A second public hearing to review the City of Tiffin’s intention to apply for Federal funds from the State of Ohio’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Allocation Program for Program Years 2020-2021 will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 7:00 PM via Zoom online video meeting. 

The City of Tiffin proposes to utilize the requested funds to carry out the following activities for the PY2020-2021 Allocation Program: Approximately $120,000 for Improvements at Nature Trails Park, $5,000 for Fair Housing and $25,000 for Administration for a total of $150,000 in CBG funding. These activities meet the national objective of benefiting low to moderate income persons.

The first of two public hearings was held on May 26, 2020 at 7:00 PM via Zoom online meeting platform to provide citizens with pertinent information about the CDBG programs including an explanation of eligible activities and program requirements.  Applications are due to the Ohio Development Services Agency’s Office of Community Development by June 17, 2020.

Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 7:00 PM to express their views and comments on the City’s proposed application prior to submission to the State of Ohio.
