Letter from the Chief

Our greatest resource, by far, is the dedicated 38 uniformed Fire/EMS members and 1 civilian that currently make up the department. All our uniformed members are Firefighter II’s, with 24 state certified paramedics and 14 EMT’s. The Division delivers fire, emergency medical, rescue, and hazardous materials services from two fire stations. Our dedicated members are committed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to providing high quality emergency response to any man-made or natural disaster that may pose a threat to our community.

Our members have much to be proud of and are glad that you have decided to stop by and visit. Through these web pages we hope to provide general information about our department and provide our citizens with useful and informative fire safety education and general safety tips. We are dedicated to providing your family with necessary knowledge to help protect them from fire emergencies.

The Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division offers many public education programs. Station tours, fire safety, tornado and injury prevention talks, fire extinguisher training, CPR, AED and First Aid classes, car seat safety programs, fire safety inspections and safety consultations are some of the public education opportunities available. Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division members will be glad to assist you with any questions. For non-emergency questions or requests call 419 448-5448. For immediate assistance with a life or property threatening situation dial 911.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to learn more about our fire/rescue division. It is my hope that you find this site both entertaining and informative. I welcome your questions or comments and would like to hear from you. Please tell us what you are thinking. We thank you for the opportunity to serve you and we never forget that we are here because of, and for YOU, our customers.
