PRESS RELEASE COVID-19 –City of Tiffin, Ohio

Dear Residents,

Earlier today, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued an executive order banning the gathering of more than 100 individuals in one location due to the communal spread of COVID-19 aka Corona Virus. In order to ensure the well-being of our city employees, all Municipal Government Offices will be closed to the public beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 through March 31, 2020 at which time the closure will be re-evaluated.

City employees will still report to work and be available to assist residents via phone and email during this time period. Included below are the phone numbers for all City of Tiffin Departments in the event residents have questions or need assistance. Also included is the Ohio Department of Health CORVID-19 hotline phone number, in the event residents have questions regarding the virus.

These moves are being taken in an overabundance of caution in order to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in the community. At this time, there are zero reported cases of COVID-19 in Tiffin, Ohio, however, the likelihood is high that the virus will make its way here in the coming days and weeks.

Thank you,
Mayor, Aaron D. Montz
