As the summer comes to an end, the Tiffin Parks and Recreation Department is planning still more events in the coming weeks before the weather turns.

The City of Tiffin pool is open daily until Aug. 14. After the pool closes, the pool will be open 6-8 p.m. Aug. 16 and 17 for the annual Dawg Dayz Dive In, giving pet owners a chance to let their dogs enjoy a cool off in the pool. Admission is $5, which helps fund the Tiffin Bark Park.

Thursday Night Tunes at the East Green will also be wrapping up soon. Soul Pilot returns to the stage at 7 p.m. Aug. 11, followed by Band Bash 2022 on Aug. 18, featuring high school and college marching bands. Jake Heil will then perform at 7 p.m. Aug. 25 for a show that was postponed due to weather.

Finally, the installation of the new inclusive playground at Hedges-Boyer Park is going on now. The playground will be finished in the fall as the team at Tiffin Parks and Recreation are planning to have the community out for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 15 to celebrate the occasion. A party in the park with food and drinks will follow the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
